Game recap: Hoover High School Football Team defeats Clay-Chalkville

MaxPreps BIRMINGHAM High School Football.

After taking the lead on a Calen Campbell touchdown run in the first quarter, Hoover (Ala.) led 30-14 at the half.

The Buccaneers expanded their lead to 24 points entering the fourth quarter. Hoover scored two times in the third, including once on a Campbell touchdown run.

The loss snapped Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, Ala.)'s 5-game winning streak.

The Cougars' Brian Clark played well. The junior wide receiver caught two touchdowns.



Clay-Chalkville came in surrendering 14.9 points per game this season.

The loss comes after Clay-Chalkville defeated Mountain Brook 30-9 last week.
