Recap: Amistad Wolves vs. Bassick Lions
The Amistad Wolves won the last time they faced the Bassick Lions, and things went their way on Thursday too. Amistad came out on top against Bassick by a score of 54-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Amistad.
Amistad's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Fatema Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. LaShaya Patterson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Amistad is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Bassick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amistad will square off against Coventry at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bassick, they will head out on the road to take on Bunnell at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bassick is facing Bunnell at the right time seeing as Bunnell is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
