After flying high against Smoky Hill last Thursday, Legend came back down to earth. The Titans were beaten by the Ralston Valley Mustangs 80-50 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Titans have suffered since February 12th.

Legend's loss came despite strong showings from Khalil Hudgins and Tyler Houlberg. Hudgins went 7-for-13 en route to 15 points and five boards, while Houlberg shot 56% from the field on his way to 15 points. Hudgins' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Brooks, who posted five points and ten rebounds.

Ralston Valley had a senior duo take command as Caiden Braketa went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc to rack up 29 points along with five boards and four steals and Frank Psaute shot 56% from the field on his way to 22 points and eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Braketa has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cole Spain, who earned nine points and five boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Legend fell to 2-1. As for Ralston Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Legend won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cherokee Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Ralston Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Doherty at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
