Recap: Kendrick Cherokees vs. Rutland Hurricanes
The Kendrick Cherokees's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rutland. Kendrick has not had much luck with Rutland recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Kendrick lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Giles, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and seven blocks. That's the first time this season that Giles posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari Barron, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Kendrick's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Rutland, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Kendrick will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jordan at 7:30 p.m. Jordan is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Rutland, they will head out on the road to take on Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
