Basketball Game Preview: Garinger Wildcats vs. Rocky River Ravens + How To Watch

Garinger hasn't had much luck against Rocky River recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will square off against the Ravens at 6:00 p.m. Rocky River took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Garinger, who comes in off a win.

Garinger will bounce into Friday's game after beating Sugar Creek Charter, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Garinger sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-63 victory over Sugar Creek Charter on Tuesday.

Garinger found their leader in sophomore Aaron Lawler, who posted 20 points and four steals. Lawler's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Chief Hunter was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, Rocky River took a blow against North Mecklenburg on Wednesday, falling 83-31. The Ravens haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The win got Garinger back to even at 1-1. As for Rocky River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Garinger might still be hurting after the 92-67 defeat they got from Rocky River in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
