Mountain View hadn't beaten Fabens on the road since April 6, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Lobos skirted past the Wildcats 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Lobos: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Monday, they had to take a 7-5 loss.

The team relied heavily on Diego Peinado, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Mountain View's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13. As for Fabens, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will head out to challenge San Elizario at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lobos are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Fabens, they will head out on the road to face off against Clint at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
