Soccer Recap: Watertown-Mayer Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waconia, Watertown-Mayer was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the United Christian Academy Eagles a 5-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Watertown-Mayer needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Watertown-Mayer now has a winning record of 2-1. As for United Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Watertown-Mayer will take on rival West Lutheran at 3:00 p.m. on September 6. Meanwhile, United Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Twin Cities Academy/Great River at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
