Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Salem Christian School Defenders beat the Millennium Lions 51-45 on Friday.

Leading Salem Christian School to victory were Parker Copeland and Dimitri Heitschmidt. Copeland posted 23 points, while Heitschmidt had seven points and 12 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Jones, who scored nine points.

Millennium's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dustin Ward, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 23 points and six boards. That was a full 51.1% of the Lions' points, marking the third time in a row Ward has earned more than a third of the team's points.
