Lake Region has gone 8-2 against Cape Elizabeth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lake Region Lakers will welcome the Cape Elizabeth Capers at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Lake Region and six for Cape Elizabeth.

Last Saturday, Lake Region opened the new year with a less-than-successful 53-40 defeat to Spruce Mountain.

Meanwhile, Cape Elizabeth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 31-25 to Waynflete.

Lake Region's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Cape Elizabeth, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Lake Region was able to grind out a solid victory over Cape Elizabeth in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 46-33. Will Lake Region repeat their success, or does Cape Elizabeth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
