Volleyball Recap: Prairie View Gets the Win

Prairie View lost to Fairview back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Thunderhawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunderhawks.

Prairie View was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 17-25, 25-12, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Fairview still got an impressive performance from Peyton Weiss, who had 25 digs and five aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Thompson, who had seven assists and three aces.

Prairie View now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fairview, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Prairie View will take on Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairview, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Highlands Ranch on the 29th.
