Basketball Recap: Coahoma County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Coahoma County was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They lost to the Rosa Fort Lions at home by a 43-28 margin. The Red Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 58-55.

Rosa Fort found their leader in freshman Takaedrius Maxwell, who posted 22 points along with six boards and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Maxwell has scored at least a third of the Lions' points. Robert Boyd was another key player, putting up six points and ten rebounds.

Coahoma County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Rosa Fort, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coahoma County will face off against Clarksdale at 8:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Rosa Fort, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
