Softball Recap: Pittsville Comes Up Short

Pittsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 24-0 to the Pacelli Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in April.

Pittsville's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Pacelli, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 16-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsville will challenge Rosholt at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.44 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pacelli, they will host Wausau West at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
