Football Recap: Manchester Lancers vs. Landstown Eagles

Manchester had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Landstown Eagles by a score of 38-28 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lancers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Eagles are ranked 174th).

Landen Abernethy produced another solid effort throwing for 267 yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. A healthy portion of Abernethy's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Jayden Ballard, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
