Volleyball Game Preview: Nickerson Panthers vs. Haven Wildcats

The Nickerson Panthers will challenge the Haven Wildcats on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Nickerson turned things around against Collegiate on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Spartans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 16th.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Haven and Pratt, and Haven kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Greenbacks on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Greenbacks: they've now won three in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Haven who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 24-26, 25-18.

Haven's victory bumped their record up to 13-11-1. As for Nickerson, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.
