Softball Recap: Lee Wildcats vs. Hoosac Valley Hurricanes
Lee managed to slip by Hoosac Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Hurricanes on Monday, falling 24-5. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Kayla Clark made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Lee now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hoosac Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee will head out to challenge Westfield Technical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoosac Valley, they will face off against Mount Everett Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season.
