Baseball Recap: Armstrong Has No Trouble Against Valley

Armstrong owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They blew past the Valley Vikings 7-0. The result was nothing new for the River Hawks, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Garrett Brumbaugh, who gave up just six hits to keep Valley off the board.

On the hitting side, Jacob Bowser and Chase Jablonski did most of the damage at the plate: Bowser went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Jablonski went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Max Zablocki also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Armstrong's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Coming up, Armstrong will venture away from home to take on Franklin Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley, they will welcome Highlands at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
