Volleyball Recap: Whitney Shepherd Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Little Rock Southwest

Cabot won the last time they faced Little Rock Southwest and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Gryphons with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cabot was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-5, 25-10.

Cabot's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Whitney Shepherd, who had five digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Shepherd a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mecate Marsh, who had nine aces and four digs.

Cabot's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Little Rock Southwest, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
