Basketball Recap: Superior Takes a Loss

Superior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Ignatius Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 54-46 loss last Friday.

Superior's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for St. Ignatius, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season.

Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Ignatius, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-53 loss against Lincoln County on the 22nd.
