Softball Recap: Marina Comes Up Short

Marina lost against Gonzales back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mariners lost 10-3 to the Spartans.

Marina saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JAZ RODRIGUEZ, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Marina's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Gonzales, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Looking ahead, Marina will be playing at home against Santa Catalina at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gonzales, they will venture away from home to face off against King City at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
