On Thursday, the First Baptist Academy Eagles couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 72-35 blowout they got against the Austin Classical Mustangs. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

First Baptist Academy was led to victory by Noah Napier and Matthew Levine. Napier almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Levine went 7 of 13 on his way to 21 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Levine a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy De La Rosa, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

First Baptist Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Austin Classical, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

First Baptist Academy will take on Hill Country Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Austin Classical, they will face off against Waterloo at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Austin Classical is facing Waterloo at the right time seeing as Waterloo is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
