Soccer Game Preview: Acalanes vs. Campolindo

The Acalanes Dons will venture away from home to challenge the Campolindo Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Acalanes' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Archie Williams with a sharp 3-0 win. Given the Dons' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Peregrine Falcons are ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Campolindo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mt. Diablo by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Campolindo's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Acalanes, they are also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 9-1-1 record this season.
