After a string of five wins, Thunder Basin's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Laramie Plainsmen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bolts have suffered since September 13th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-6, 25-23.

Thunder Basin's offense was headlined by Ashtyn Ketchum and Bradie Barnes, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Piper Martin and her 18 assists.

Sia Taufa was the offensive standout of the match as she had 18 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Thunder Basin's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Laramie, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Thunder Basin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against South on the 11th. As for Laramie, after both having extra time off, they and Sheridan will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
