Soccer Recap: Grassfield Comes Up Short

If Grassfield was feeling good fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Deep Creek last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Hickory Hawks by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. It was the first time this season that Grassfield let down their fans at home.

Grassfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-3. As for Hickory, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season.

Grassfield has already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Lakeland on the 16th. As for Hickory, they will head out to take on Indian River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
