Preview: Fairfield Tigers vs. Russell County Warriors
The Fairfield Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Russell County Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Fairfield was fully in charge, breezing past Woodlawn 68-39 on the road. Given Fairfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Woodlawn is ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Russell County came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 80-42 win over Therrell.
Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Russell County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
