Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Abes vs. Foss Falcons

Lincoln is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Foss a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Lincoln Abes will be playing at home against the Foss Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lincoln lost 25-9 to Silas on Monday.

Joy Wilde made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Leilani Tufu, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Foss was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against Franklin Pierce, falling 23-2.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Foss, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Lincoln took their win against Foss in their previous meeting back in May of 2016 by a conclusive 14-6 score. Will the Abes repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
