Softball Recap: Duxbury Comes Up Short

Duxbury couldn't beat Hingham on Tuesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the sixth inning. The Dragons fell just short of the Harbormen by a score of 9-8. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Harbormen earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Catherine Grimaldi was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Eibhleann ?Avy? Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Duxbury's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Hingham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duxbury will host Marshfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hingham, they will take on Silver Lake Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
