Basketball Recap: Fayetteville Academy Comes Up Short

Fayetteville Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 79-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washington Pam Pack. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Pam Pack are ranked 15th).

Fayetteville Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Washington, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Fayetteville Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Trinity Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington and Garner will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on December 26th. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Garner likes a good challenge.
