Recap: Moffat County Bulldogs vs. Delta Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Moffat County Bulldogs can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 28-10 to the Panthers. Moffat County's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Evan Beaver threw for 227 yards and a touchdown. Ian Champ Hafey was his top target, picking up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Delta can attribute much of their success to Talan Hulet, who rushed for 220 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Hulet hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Delta's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Xavier Martinez was the leader with two sacks.
Moffat County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Delta, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Moffat County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Delta is on the road again on Saturday and play against Rifle at 1:00 p.m. on November 25th. Rifle's defense has only allowed 15.5 points per game this season, so Delta's offense will have their work cut out for Delta.
