Basketball Recap: West Fork's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

West Fork had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 41-28 victory over the Pasadena Eagles on Friday.

Despite the loss, Pasadena saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lianna Garcia dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Those 13 points gave Garcia a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily De La Garza, who posted five points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

West Fork's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-14. As for Pasadena, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

West Fork will square off against Crosby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Fork is facing Crosby at the right time seeing as Crosby is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pasadena, they will take on Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pasadena will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Dayton will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
