Basketball Recap: New Diana Makes It Six in a Row at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pittsburg, New Diana was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Avery Bulldogs out 48-46. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

New Diana pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Avery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

New Diana will face off against Daingerfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Avery, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Savoy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
