Basketball Recap: Graham-Kapowsin Falls Despite Big Games from Emma Gatoloai and Brooklynn Chang

If Graham-Kapowsin was feeling good fresh off their 79-45 takedown of Orting last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Graham-Kapowsin Eagles lost to the Puyallup Vikings at home by a 43-29 margin on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 45-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Brooklynn Chang and Emma Gatoloai certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Chang posted 12 points, while Gatoloai put up ten points.

Graham-Kapowsin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Puyallup, they pushed their record up to 4-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Graham-Kapowsin will venture away from home to square off against Curtis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Puyallup, they will square off against Bonney Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
