Basketball Recap: Glenbard South Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Glenbard South couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DePaul College Prep Rams. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 48-38.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DePaul College Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Giordano, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 20 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Giordano a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). Another player making a difference was Grace Lee, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points.

Glenbard South's defeat dropped their record down to 26-4. As for DePaul College Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-13.

Glenbard South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for DePaul College Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montini Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DePaul College Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.
