Soccer Recap: New Kent Falls Short of York in the Playoffs

New Kent and York squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but New Kent had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, New Kent's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

New Kent's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7-3. As for York, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

New Kent does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for York, they will head out to face off against Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something York surely won't give up without a fight.
