Soccer Recap: Stoney Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Powers Catholic on Saturday, Stoney Creek came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Utica Eisenhower Eagles on Wednesday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Stoney Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Utica Eisenhower are ranked tenth).

Stoney Creek has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-3 record this season. As for Utica Eisenhower, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

As of now, neither Stoney Creek nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
