Football Preview: All S Saints vs. West Valley Eagles

The All S Saints will challenge the West Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. All S will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.

While All S's win against Episcopal School of Dallas wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came away the winners. All S had just enough and edged Episcopal School of Dallas out 42-39. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Eagles are ranked 271st), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gavin Parkhurst was his usual excellent self, throwing for 356 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Qumonte Williams was Parkhurst's top target, picking up 145 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

All S's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Keyon Adkins and Ryan Powers.
