Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Makari Cooper and Isabella Tessier Lead Doherty to Victory

Doherty lost to Discovery Canyon back in October of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Thunder with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Doherty was led to victory by Isabella Tessier and Makari Cooper. Tessier had seven digs and six assists, while Cooper had seven aces and six digs. Those seven aces gave Cooper a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Doherty was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are a perfect 6-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Doherty's record is now 9-14. As for Discovery Canyon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Doherty nor Discovery Canyon have any future games scheduled.
