Football Game Preview: O'Connell Buccaneers vs. Austin Classical Mustangs

The O'Connell Buccaneers will head out on the road to take on the Austin Classical Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

O'Connell played against Second Baptist University-Model last Friday and lost via forfeit.

Austin Classical is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Heritage Christian on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mustangs had to suffer through a 52-6 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Eagles are ranked 21st).

O'Connell's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Austin Classical, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
