Softball Recap: Valparaiso Comes Up Short

Valparaiso couldn't beat Lake Central on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Vikings lost 14-7 to the Indians. The Vikings have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Delilah Kincaid and Maddie Horka did some serious damage despite the final result: Kincaid went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Horka earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Horka is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Valparaiso's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Lake Central, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-3.

Looking ahead, Valparaiso is taking a road trip to take on Lowell at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Central, they will face off against Munster at 5:00 p.m. on the 29th.
