After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elizabethton, Cherokee was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Seymour Eagles by a score of 28-21. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cherokee's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Seymour, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cherokee will square off against rival Greeneville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Seymour is set to face off against their familiar foe Sullivan East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
