Basketball Recap: Central Baptist Swordsmen vs. South Haven Christian
Central Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-53 heartbreaker at the hands of South Haven Christian. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Swordsmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-37 back in November of 2024.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Haven Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trevor Steinbrook, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Steinbrook's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jared White, who posted 12 points along with five boards and four steals.
Central Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for South Haven Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-8.
Central Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Haven Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 70-30 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 4th.
