Basketball Game Preview: Sumter Gamecocks vs. Harlan County Black Bears

The Sumter Gamecocks will head out on the road to challenge the Harlan County Black Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Sumter came up short against Lakewood and fell 51-40. The contest marked the Gamecocks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Harlan County also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Boyd Anderson by a score of 71-61. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Black Bears came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked ninth in Kentucky, while the Cobras are ranked 151st in Florida).

Sumter has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Harlan County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
