Baseball Recap: Southwest Guilford Extends Winning Streak to Six

Southwest Guilford got themselves on the board against Western Guilford on Friday, but Western Guilford never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Western Guilford Hornets with a sharp 13-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Kaden Morgan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Brendan Snider was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Maness, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
