Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jefferson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on October 3rd. They claimed a resounding 45-7 victory over White Oak. Considering the Bulldogs have won three contests by more than 34 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Sabine better keep an eye on Tre Moss. He was instrumental in Jefferson's win, rushing for 80 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 93 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Jefferson's run defense was locked in: White Oak could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Deldrian Brown for the heroic effort on defense: he. Jefferson's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.38 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.53 on average over their last five games.
Jefferson's defense didn't let Jaxsen Ludlow, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 4.5 sacks. Markevion Tatum refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Jefferson got some further help from Kobin Tomlinson: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Jefferson's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Sabine, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Sabine took a serious blow against Jefferson in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 74-12. Thankfully for the Cardinals, Tihmyus Taylor (who threw for 275 yards and five TDs while picking up 13.8 yards per attempt, and also punched in three scores on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
