Football Game Preview: Carey Panthers vs. Hansen Huskies + How To Watch

Carey is a perfect 5-0 against Hansen since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Carey will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

It was a proper cat-fight when Carey duked it out with Richfield on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 50-6. The contest marked the Panthers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Stockton Sears continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 201 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Another player making a difference was Jonah Saili, who rushed for 55 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Carey was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 294 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 210 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Carey didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Saili and Sears. Sears' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 136 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Hansen strolled past Richfield with points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game 34-20.

Carey's record now sits at 4-0. As for Hansen, their record is now 3-0.

Everything came up roses for Carey against Hansen in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
