Fairfield is a perfect 4-0 against Cisne since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mules will face off against the Runnin' Lions at 4:30 p.m. Fairfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Fairfield is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Edwards County.

Fairfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tallen Hixenbaugh, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Caleb King also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Cisne came up short against Lawrenceville on Tuesday, falling 9-1. The Runnin' Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cisne now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything went Fairfield's way against Cisne in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, as Fairfield made off with an 11-4 win. Will the Mules repeat their success, or do the Runnin' Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
