Washington skates past Chavez with ease

Recap: Washington Eagles vs. Chavez Lobos

The Washington Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by Chavez on the road to the tune of 57-21. The win was familiar territory for Washington who now have four in a row.

Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Danaya Pope out in front who scored 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Pope has scored at least 25% of Washington's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendyl Harvey, who scored 16 points.

Washington is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Chavez, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1.

Washington will head out on the road to face off against Westbury at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Chavez will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
