Softball Recap: Jasper Sets Scoring Season-High Against New Heights Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jasper). They were the clear victors by a 22-9 margin over the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars on Monday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Alivea Roberts was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbie Pierce, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Jasper kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.

The victory got Jasper back to even at 6-6. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jasper will challenge Rich Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they will square off against Verona at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
