Softball Game Preview: Southern Columbia Area Tigers vs. Loyalsock Township Lancers

Southern Columbia Area hasn't had much luck against Loyalsock Township recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Southern Columbia Area is taking a road trip to challenge Loyalsock Township at 4:30 p.m. This will be Southern Columbia Area's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Southern Columbia Area is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Tri-Valley last Wednesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-1.

Meanwhile, Loyalsock Township was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over Danville.

The win got Loyalsock Township back to even at 1-1. As for Southern Columbia Area, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Southern Columbia Area couldn't quite get it done against Loyalsock Township in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can Southern Columbia Area avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
