Mahanoy Area's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tamaqua Raiders, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Bears have posted since May 10, 2025.

Cadance Poslosky made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Poslosky was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Naomi Kowalick was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Hailey Mroczka was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Mahanoy Area pushed their record up to 8-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tamaqua, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.
