The LaBrae Vikings will challenge the Hillsdale Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. LaBrae is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

LaBrae saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Mogadore by a score of 9-6. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly three runs.

The team relied heavily on Owen Boone, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Goldner, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Hillsdale unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Ashland by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 2nd.

Eben Wilson-Mills was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, Hillsdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Hickey, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

LaBrae has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Hillsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
